I will dominate 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex twice world boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As both boxers participated in the customary confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly happening.
